Dissemination & Outreach Officer
Leandros Tsiotos is a graduate from the Department of Biochemistry & Biotechnology of the University of Thessaly. He was a member of the organisational team of the Thessaly Science Festival 2018 regarding the 30 years celebration of the University of Thessaly. In 2019, he participated in the International Synthetic Biology Competition, called iGEM, as a project leader of the iGEM Thessaly 2019 team. Their research project, ODYSSEE, earned a gold medal and won the Best Diagnostics Project award together with nominations for the special awards, Best Supporting Entrepreneurship and Best Integrated Human Practices. Aiming to continue his connection with the competition, he is now a member of the Video & Remote Technology Committee and he is responsible for introducing teams to the new iGEM video reality. He has skills on Digital Marketing and by June 2020 is responsible for the Dissemination & Outreach of the OMIC-Engine Infrastructure.
